Acupuncture

The Science

Studies revealed that Acupuncture down-regulates pro-inflammatory cells reducing pain and swelling, and up-regulates cells involved in immune response, which relieves pain and inflammation. Acupuncture activates pain-suppressing receptors and increases the concentration of neurotransmitters that slows down brain's activity, inducing sleepiness, and relaxation. The World Health Organisation (WHO) recognized Acupuncture as an effective treatment of 100 conditions including, but not limited to:

  • Immunological disorders

  • Auto-immune disorders

  • Eye, ear, mouth & throat

  • Respiratory disorders

  • Circulatory & blood disorders

  • Gastrointestinal disorders

FAQ

How often do I have to do Acupuncture, and for how long?

There are two reasons to get acupuncture: first to get in shape, and then to keep in shape.

For chronic conditions estimate a weekly treatment for as many months as years that you had the condition, and then treatment gets reduced to maintenance until you stop treatment.

For acute conditions estimate once or twice a week, for as many weeks you had the condition. Then treatment gets reduced to maintenance until you stop treatment.
